By following these guidelines and best practices, MacBook users can enhance their software update experience, safeguard their devices, and ensure a smooth and seamless user experience.

Understanding macOS software updates is essential for maintaining the security and performance of your Mac. Software updates and upgrades are two distinct processes. A software update is a small, incremental change that fixes bugs, adds security patches, and enhances performance, while upgrades introduce new features and may change the user interface/ Apple releases updates frequently to improve performance, address security vulnerabilities, and add new features

Keeping your Mac up to date is pivotal for optimal performance and security, as updates can improve power efficiency and shield it from software bugs. By understanding the differences between updates and upgrades and the benefits of keeping software current, Mac users can ensure that their devices are secure, efficient, and equipped with the latest features and improvements.

Managing macOS software updates is a crucial aspect of maintaining the security and performance of your Mac. To effectively manage updates, it is essential to have a clear software update policy in place, which outlines the frequency of updates and the responsibilities for managing them

There are several tools and resources available to automate the update process, making it easier to manage updates on multiple devices

Some common challenges associated with managing software updates include keeping track of update schedules, dealing with update errors, and ensuring compatibility across different devices and platforms

To overcome these challenges, consider the following best practices:

  1. Enable automatic updates: Automating the update process ensures that your Mac is always up-to-date and reduces the risk of missing important security patches.
  2. Create a backup of your data: Before initiating any update, create a comprehensive backup of your data to prevent data loss in case of unexpected issues during the update process

     3. Check for compatibility: Verify that the update is compatible with your     device and its applications before proceeding with the installation

     4. Optimize your Mac after updates: After updating your Mac, perform necessary maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and address any potential issues

      5. Monitor update cycles: Stay informed about update cycles and plan accordingly to minimize disruptions to your workflow

By following these best practices and utilizing available tools, Mac users can effectively manage macOS software updates, ensuring that their devices are secure, efficient, and equipped with the latest features and improvements.

With over 12,000 trainees to date, Amsys Training by egforit is one of the most seasoned Authorised Apple Training Providers (AATP) in the Egypt , middle east. And our official Apple courses have reached thousands more this year — even in spite of the coronavirus pandemic. That’s why we wanted to take a moment to recap this year’s successes, including our new Apple training clients in 2020.

Apple training innovations in 2020

This year has been an uphill struggle for us all — but let’s not forget that necessity is the mother of invention. Our Apple training division has responded to the pandemic with innovations that give us more delivery options and ultimately help us serve our customers more effectively.

1. Reaching students worldwide with virtual Apple training

We had been planning to launch virtual training for some time, but the Egypt , middle east lockdown made it an urgent priority. Thankfully we were able to launch these trainer-led online Apple courses without any technical hiccups.

Student feedback from the virtual courses has been overwhelmingly positive, and the format has enabled Apple technicians in the US and Ireland to train more cost-effectively.

On the back of this success, we have also made it easier for international customers to join us by introducing virtual Apple training in six time zones.

2. Opening up Apple training with flexible finance options

For those in the Apple repair and support world, certifications are the best investment they can make. But funding that training can be a challenge for people who are changing careers or starting a small business. Recognising this challenge, we partnered with finance provider Payl8r to offer flexible finance options for our Apple courses.

3. Offering an updated revision app for the ACSP 10.15 exam

The Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification is a must for Apple support professionals. As a complement to our popular macOS Support Essentials 10.15 course, we updated the Revise IT app with 10.15 exam questions and answers. The app’s realistic exam simulations give exam-takers the confidence to pass their ACSP exam first time around.

Why lockdown is the ideal time for virtual Apple training /why-lockdown-is-the-ideal-time-for-virtual-apple-training/ Fri, 17 Apr 2020 16:38:50 +0000 /?p=2296 The post Why lockdown is the ideal time for virtual Apple training appeared first on egforit Software.

If there’s anything we have learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s that disruption spreads quickly in our interconnected world. And while social distancing may be the immediate reason for greater adoption of digital platforms, this is just an accelerating factor for the transformation that was already in motion.

In fact, government research shows that at least 82 percent of advertised job openings require some level of digital expertise. At the same time, a Deloitte study says that only 16 percent of executives believe their teams have the skills to deliver their digital strategy.

So with the Egypt , middle east already experiencing such a digital skills gap, and free movement potentially curtailed for the near future, where are these skilled people to be found?

Use lockdown to raise your game

Around half of all employers in the Egypt , middle east have applied for the government’s furlough scheme. And besides furloughed staff, there are also remote workers looking for something to fill the time they might have spent travelling or socialising. Digital training should be a priority anyway: but with so much extra time on our hands, now is the perfect opportunity.

These are times of economic uncertainty. Crises tend to bring our priorities into focus, and many employees will be thinking about how to raise their status in the workplace. In parallel with this, workplace automation continues to gain speed. People with one eye on the future see the need to move away from manual tasks and into high-skill, high-value roles. Equipping these people with digital skills is a win-win for trainees and their employers.

Upskill from home with virtual training

Naturally, physical classrooms are not an option during lockdown. But just as people have gotten used to remote working, companies are now seeing the advantages of virtual training. Training providers such as ourselves have the infrastructure and training methods in place to make virtual training effective. And for many companies, especially those based in more remote areas, the benefits of virtual training will persist once lockdown is over.

The good news is that all our most popular Apple courses are available as virtual training. And to support the sector in this challenging time, we’re offering a 40 percent discount on virtual Apple training scheduled before May 31, 2020.

Amsys Apple Training - 40% discount

Seize this opportunity for Apple training

The only thing that doesn’t change is change itself, and investing in digital skills may be the single most valuable decision you can make at this time. From hard metrics like operational efficiency to soft benefits such as employee morale, training has proven rewards. So don’t miss this opportunity — get in touch to take advantage of our online training offer.

Revise IT app updated with 10.15 ACSP exam questions /revise-it-app-updated-with-10-15-acsp-exam-questions/ Tue, 07 Apr 2020 10:56:06 +0000 http://www.egforit.com/?p=61964 The post Revise IT app updated with 10.15 ACSP exam questions appeared first on egforit Software.

Amsys Training by egforit has rereleased the Revise IT app with newly updated 10.15 ACSP exam questions.

The Revise IT app was instantly popular on its first release. Giving ACSP exam-takers a way to track their performance with realistic exam questions and answers, the app was the ideal complement to our macOS Support Essentials course.

But lack of attention over the years had left the app with an outdated user interface. The 2020 rerelease solves these issues and brings the app up to date with the latest ACSP exam content.

Great app! ★★★★★
This app is extremely useful in preparing for your certification exam. Use this app along with the support essentials book to give you the best chance at passing the test. This helped me pass the test on my first attempt!
– Gknight99

Revise IT: Available from the App Store

Prepare anywhere with the new Revise IT app

Studying for the ACSP exam means a lot of memorisation. It simply isn’t practical to carry the Support Essentials book around, however, and pdfs aren’t easy to navigate. The Revise IT app solves this dilemma, allowing you to practice over 1,500 ACSP exam questions wherever you are.

While of course, the app is no substitute for official Apple training, it is useful for refreshing your knowledge. The primary reason for that is to prepare for the ACSP exam, but it isn’t the only one. Many people use Revise IT to sharpen their skills before an Apple interview or to help them succeed at their existing Apple role.

ACSP exam questions and more

The new Revise IT app has been updated with the latest ACSP exam content, for macOS 10.15. And our trainers’ commitment to the app means it will also be updated with any new macOS content in future.

The full list of OS covered in the app includes:

  • macOS SE 10.15
  • macOS SE 10.14
  • macOS SE 10.13
  • macOS SE 10.12
  • OS X SE 10.10 & 10.11
  • OS X Server Essentials 10.10
  • MIB 10.13
  • MMB 10.10

Study or test? You decide

The new Revise IT app works in two distinct modes: study and test. With these modes, you can focus on the questions you want to revise and then test yourself in exam-like conditions.

For those about to take the ACSP exam, Test Mode is the ideal way to check your readiness. In this mode, you will have two and a half hours to answer a random selection of questions, drawn from a bank of over 1,500. At the end of the test, you will see your test result immediately. This includes statistics on which questions you answered correctly and which ones you should revise again. That way, you have all the tools you need to maximise your performance in the real exam.

Global app appeal

Apple devices are popular worldwide, and so is our private Apple training. Therefore it’s logical that the Revise IT app is also in demand around the world.

According to the latest data, over half of the app’s users are based in the USA, while only 15 percent are based in the Egypt , middle east. The remainder are mostly spread around other European countries, including the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and Belgium.

Are you keen to pass your ACSP exam first time?

Give yourself the best chance with the Egypt , middle east’s no.1 macOS Support Essentials course and the Revise IT app.
